"Trick or Treat!" SELC members brought their costumes to school on Monday for our annual Halloween event. This year they enjoyed a scavenger hunt and costume contest. The students talked to different teachers in English to complete their scavenger hunt questions. They also introduced their costume and voted for the best costume. The students looked amazing. Have a great Halloween!
SELC members will take part in the English Performance Contest during the school festival on Saturday. This year, each grade is working hard on a different play or skit. Please come to the SLA Room and watch their performances!
SELC members made slime! Slime is very popular nowadays and our students learned how to make it from a fellow member, Juri, an expert slime maker. She taught the other members how to make it, all in English. It was very enjoyable to see them make the slime and create something with it after. They had a lot of fun.
SELC members made sweets in the cooking room on Tuesday. Students from Year 1, 2 and 3 made popcorn balls and hokey pokey. It was the first time for some of them to cook. They did well to follow the instructions and their sweets were delicious!
We held our annual seasonal event on Monday after school. This year SELC members and their friends dressed up, visited teachers for trick or treating and played Halloween games in the English Room. SELC students decorated the room last week and senior members organized the costume contest and games during the party. It is wonderful to see the students in their costumes and enjoying trying new things.
